Performed a site visit 10/10/2015 The support for beams at different locations are substandard. 1. The beams over the kitchen dead-head into another beam. This connection is held together by 4 screws at each connection, do not know if there are unseen dowels or not. The header support beam appears to be bowing under load of the roof and second floor. Recommend additional support. 2. The beam over the 2nd bedroom bath has been moved, such that the new span for support is 4'-10". This new span is supporting attic space and possibly the hot water heater. 3. One of the beams in the master bath is sitting above its support by as much as 1/4" gap. 4. The second beam in the master bath has a double 2x4 column directly under the beam with no horizontal support at the top. 5. One of the beams in the master bedroom is sitting above its support by as much as 1/4" gap and a triangular shim of unknown strength jamed into the space. 6. The other beam in the master bedroom getting its support from the bathroom wall has been reduced to a 2-3/8" x 6-1/2" beam at the support.
