Uniflex® Elastomeric White Roof Coating
Product Description
Uniflex® Elastomeric White Roof Coating is a special Industrial
Grade, 100% Acrylic based formula that insulates and protects,
forming a thick, rubber-like blanket of protection that expands
and contracts with the roof. Because of the superior reflectivity
of Uniflex® White Elastomeric, surface temperatures are reduced,
which lowers interior temperatures, reducing energy costs. This
special formulation resists cracking and peeling from severe heat
and cold. Basic Use
Uniflex® Elastomeric White Roof Coating will provide a highly
elastic, weatherproofing barrier over metal (including aged
galvanized and prepainted metals), urethane foam, concrete and
other approved surfaces. Limitations
Do not apply below 50°F (10°C) or when rain is forecast.
Applications during periods of low temperature or high humidity
will extend dry time.
Allow 4-6 hours for coating to dry prior to being subjected to
rain, heavy dew or temperatures below 50°F. KEEP FROM FREEZING.

Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be power washed with a mild detergent and
thoroughly rinsed to remove all dirt, loose paint, rust, excessive
chalk, grease, oil and other foreign matter which could prevent
proper adhesion.
IMPORTANT: Where ponding water conditions persist beyond 2-3
days, roof drains or other corrective measures must be installed
to eliminate water build-up prior to coating the roof.
Metal Roofs: Remove all rust and prime those areas,
areas where rust still remains and bare metal using Uniflex® Metal
Primer. Tighten or replace loose or missing fasteners. Repair open
seams, small holes, flashings around roof penetrations and
skylights with Uniflex® Acrylic Patching Cement and embed Uniflex®
Polyester Fabric. Uniflex® Seam Tape may be used as an alternative
to patch and fabric on seams and around protrusions.
NOTE: New metal roofs contain residual oils from the
manufacturing process of the panels. Allow the roof to weather six
months or etch using a mild acid solution.
Urethane Foam: Power wash previously coated urethane
foam surfaces to remove all chalk and loosely adhered materials.
Repair all cracks and holes with Uniflex® Acrylic Patching Cement
reinforced with Polyester Fabric before coating. New surfaces
require no cleaning and should be coated within the time frame
recommended by the foam manufacturer.
Concrete: Power wash the entire roof surface. Prime
complete area using Uniflex® Concrete Primer. Repair cracks and
any weakened section of concrete using Uniflex® Acrylic Patching
Cement reinforced with Uniflex® Polyester Fabric before coating.
Application
Apply with a soft brush (avoid excessive brushing), roller or
airless spray. Uniflex® Elastomeric is to be applied in two coats,
the finish coat being applied 24 hours after the initial
application. This product has excellent suspension and requires
minimal stirring. If the roof is hot, spray with water to prevent
the coating from drying too fast. May be applied over damp, not
wet, surfaces. DO NOT THIN. To obtain the additional strength of a
single-ply roof, apply a first coat and embed Uniflex® Polyester
Fabric. Once 24 hours have elapsed, apply a second
coat. Coverage

3-4 gal. /100 sq.ft. (1.224-1.63 L/sq. m)
| Note: Coverage may vary depending on
the actual condition of the surface. The coverage rates shown are
intended as minimum application recommendations. Over corrugated
and irregular metal surfaces, allow for additional surface area by
multiplying total square feet by 1.15.
Maintenance
It is recommended that the coating installation be checked on a
regular maintenance schedule. Small area touch ups can be made at
any time following recommended application procedures.
