This command inserts a hard (forced) page break -- represented by the <PGE> tag -- at the cursor location. When you use this tag, the Editor adds text line breaks when saving files, making them easier to view with third party applications such as Notepad.

The Editor will not allow you to use this tag in locations where it would not be appropriate, such as inside Submittals, References, Section or paragraph Titles, Sections numbers and other specialized content.

image\stop.gif Using a page break to avoid undesirable line breaks -- known as widows and orphans -- may have unexpected results. Text viewed on the screen is pure data and differs from the printed processed data. Therefore, lines that may appear to be widows or orphans on screen may actually appear in the middle of a printed page once the document has been processed.
