This command allows you to change the amount of indentation
applied to TXT
, ITM
or LST
tags when the Format
| Toggle Indentation command is used.
The default setting of - 0.33 is applied to ITM
and LST tags to produce a hanging
indentation. It is recommend that you leave the default value setting
unless you are using a font other than Courier New and need to change
the setting in order to correctly produce a hanging indentation.
To change the indentation for all occurrences of the tag, place the cursor in the text between the tags, and choose this command. From the Set Indentation Toggle Amount dialog box, you can add or remove indentation from TXT, LST, and ITM tags, or modify the amount of indentation applied to these tags when the Toggle Indentation command is used.
When indentation is applied, only the first line is indented and not any subsequent lines of the same text. To keep you from inadvertently causing text to display in the left margin, this feature will prohibit you from applying any negative indentation that would exceed the current positive indentation. (For example: the normal indentation for TXT tags is 0.16. You could add an indentation of -0.16 to bring the text to the left margin, but you could not add an indentation value of -0.17, since it would extend into the margin.)
To change the indentation for just one occurrence of
a LST, ITM or TXT tag: Position the cursor in the text between the tags,
right-click,
and choose Attributes | Indent
from the pop-up menu. The value you enter will only be applied to the
tags at the cursor position.
