ANTIQUITIES
Have you ever marveled at the warmth and humanity of an 18th century French farmhouse? You can recreate that beauty and history with products from ANN SACKS Tile & Stone. Our Antiquities program includes centuries old Biblical limestone from Israel with a buttery patina that can only be achieved from centuries of footsteps. Only at ANN SACKS can you find beautiful ochre-hued 18th century French terra cotta, made of clay from the earthy, golden hills of Lyon. Traditional red French antique terra cotta and beautiful antiquities from Bali round out this program that is rich with history. Our antiquities are truly antiques. In the case of our French antique terra cotta, the tiles are authenticated by the French government before they are allowed to leave the country. Our Biblical limestone is verified by the Israeli government as having been in use for as much as 500 years.

ANN SACKS COLLECTION
Prior to 1980, color choices for most ceramic tile were limited to a utilitarian palette. Ann decided that she would create in tile the color-driven flexibility that laminates had previously brought to interior design. Thus, the ANN SACKS Collection was born. In our Portland, Oregon tile studio we manufacture beautiful, hand-crafted field tile, borders, trim pieces and relief moldings, decos and accessories. We offer over 200 standard colors including a palette of authentic Arts & Crafts glazes and all of the KOHLER colors. Our new Algonquin Park series features decorative tiles and borders based on scenes from Canada's most beautiful national treasure. The ANN SACKS Collection also has the flexibility to custom match colors as well as create shade variations of existing colors in our palette that might better suited to the requirements of a particular job. The ANN SACKS Collection is the jewel in our crown; hand-crafted tile with warmth, beauty and sophistication in a limitless color palette.

ART TILE
Tile is art. From beautiful and authentic Arts & Crafts tile to Picasso-inspired mosaics, tile has been a vibrant art form throughout the world for centuries. In that tradition, the Art Tile program at ANN SACKS showcases tile from some of the finest artisans in the world. The depth of our program ranges from beautiful, hand-crafted relief tiles in ancient glazes to joyful hand painted decorative tiles. We work with artists and tile makers all over the world to bring together a collection of tile programs that will add charm, individuality, authenticity and elegance to any project.

TERRA COTTA
The word "terra cotta" comes from the Italian terra, "earth" and cotta, "cooked." The simple warmth of a terra cotta floor evokes images of Tuscan villas and Andalusian farmhouses. The varied characteristics of our terra cotta program reflect the different indigenous materials used in addition to different firing methods. Our wood-fired Torquemada from Spain is unique with a rustic feel. Burn marks on the tile are a result of traditional firing techniques used in that region. By contrast, the subtle shades of salmon and ochre in our Tierra Valenciana create a soft, warm look. Other selections in this program range from architecturally precise Italian terra cotta to warm Spanish terra cottas fired in the centuries-old tradition of using olive pits and pistachio shells for fuel. Imagine a terra cotta that looks 18th century but uses 20th century technology. Our Kezako tile not only has the look and feel of authentic French antique terra cotta, but is extremely durable, frost-proof, and has been manufactured to have the highest commercial rating.
