The Bold Look of KOHLER The Main Event

The Main Event

The celebrated design duo of Charles Gandy and William Peace have created an innovative and imaginative bath setting, using both whimsy and sophistication to create a room of distinction.

The bath reflects a boxing theme, surprisingly awash in parchment hues. Pale limestone floors, ivory walls and an expanse of mirrored bath cabinets offer an understated approach to an athlete’s bath. A focal point of the room is the innovative10-Jet BodySpa, Kohler’s rapturous personal hydro-massage system -- the perfect relief after a few rounds with the room’s full-size canvas punching bag, suspended from a circular skylight. An edited yet creative use of accessories, ranging from a wall of televisions to gilded clay pinch pots, adorn the room. The uncluttered use of forms extends to the plumbing fixtures. A pair of wall-mounted faucets appear suspended above two undercounter lavatories, both inset in a dramatically canted countertop.

According to the designers, the monumental space was designed for a successful couple as a quiet, enveloping room. This prototypical couple would certainly love the intimate, upholstered banquette offered as the perfect spot for relaxing and conversation.
